In light of all the recent developments surrounding the corona virus, all of us at Smart want to assure our clients that their health and safety is of our upmost concern. We are monitoring all the developments and are taking whatever steps necessary to protect everyone who is a part of our business family.
This is what you need to know now:
We are taking this virus and its potential impact seriously. We do not feel there is need for panic, nut we are taking our guidance from the CDC, which recommends regular cleaning as one of the most important preventative measures we can take. Out of an abundance of caution we have scheduled all in-house appointments so they will not overlap. Thereby giving us time to clean and sanitize the office before and after each appointment.
- Disinfectant wipes are available in the lobby, bathrooms and in individual offices
- Magazines and shared reading materials have been removed from the lobby
- We have disposable cups available for coffee and tea. All regular coffee mugs and glasses have been removed.
We are a very open and friendly office, however, don’t be surprised if our usual handshakes and hugs are replaced by a loving nod and an elbow bump. Our check in system is based on an IPAD which is cleaned after each client. You will also find alcohol wipes and gloves in our lobby for your convenience and extra security.
IMPORTANT: There is a lot we just don’t know yet, and so we encourage both our employees and our clients to simply stay home if you’re sick; regardless of whether your symptoms match those of the coronavirus or not.
Remote and Video Appointments: If you are not able, or just not comfortable venturing out, we understand. We offer video tax appointments in place of in-office visits. If you’re not sure what a video appointment is; you can find out more by clicking the link below. When you call to make your appointment just let the person know you would like to do it remotely. Or if you’ve already booked your appointment just call or email us to let us know you would like to switch from an in-house to a remote appointment.
Remember fortune favors the prepared. At Smart we are committed and working hard to make sure our clients experience as little interruption as possible this tax season.
